Obstacles to Using the Smart Board Among Middle School Social Studies Teachers

Abstract

     The research aims to identify the obstacles to using the smart board among social studies teachers in the middle school. To achieve the goal of the research، the researcher used the descriptive survey method. The study sample consisted of (86) teachers and schools from public and private schools that used the smart board in teaching، and who were selected. In an intentional manner from schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Education in Dhi Qar، the study tool was a questionnaire to uncover the obstacles to using the smart board among social studies teachers. It consisted of (30) items distributed into three areas: the area related to the student، the area related to the teacher، and the financial and administrative area. Its validity and reliability were verified، and after conducting the necessary statistical analyzes the results of the study showed the following: that the material and administrative field constituted the highest degree of obstacles، and it was at a high degree، as its arithmetic average reached (3.89)، while the other fields constituted

 

the field related to the teacher، with an arithmetic average. (2.76)، the field related to students، with a mean of  (2.55)، moderate obstacles.
