Abstract

         Today, the world is witnessing a significant development in the concept of community cooperatives, as they are considered an effective tool for achieving sustainable development and social well-being. This research aims to study the legal nature of the work of community cooperatives and their role in achieving well-being. Community cooperatives are defined as organizations with voluntary membership, whose members aim to achieve common benefits through cooperation and teamwork. These cooperatives focus on strengthening the economic and social capabilities of their members and the local community. The research addresses the legal nature of cooperatives by reviewing the laws and legislation that regulate their work in various countries. These laws include the following: National laws: which determine the requirements for establishing and managing cooperatives, and provide legal protection to their members. And international laws: such as the principles of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Association of Cooperatives (ICA) that encourage the development of cooperatives and enhance their role in sustainable development. being: Cooperatives play an important role in achieving social and economic well-being through: Providing job opportunities: Cooperatives contribute to creating sustainable job opportunities and improving the income levels of their members. And promoting social justice: by providing social services such as education and health care to its members. And supporting the local economy: Cooperatives enhance the local economy by investing in small and medium enterprises.
