Abstract

     The country of ancient Yemen derives its importance to Orientalists through its strategic location in relation to the seas and oceans surrounding it. This geographical location gave it economic importance in controlling the maritime trade routes, especially those overlooking the Indian Ocean and their connection with other countries of the world, in addition to the nature of its distinct geographical climate, which contributed to its production of materials. The various aromatic substances that they considered an essential pillar in their daily lives, especially in their use within religious temples and medical treatments. At the same time, southern Arabia was distinguished by its establishment of political rule that was at a high level of progress compared to other parts of the Arabs. Its kingdoms witnessed remarkable development. In the process of building the state, it was able to form political relations with its neighboring countries, based on mutual respect and commitment to international covenants and conventions concluded between them.
