Abdul-Moneim Al-Hamiry’s methodology in the book “Al-Rawdh Al-Mu’tar fi Khabar Al-Aqtar” for the Kurdish countries as a model

Abstract

    The research deals with a study of the book Al-Rawd Al-Mu'tar in the news of the countries by Abdul Moneim Al-Humairi as one of the most prominent geographical sources in the Islamic West, in which the author arranged the places in alphabetical order tracing the methodology of Yaqut Al-Hamwi and Ibn hawqal in their two books, examines the methodology of Al-Humairi and how he reviewed the country of the Kurds and its cities in the Islamic and Morocco, in which we find detail and diversity and mention of every small and large in it, and mention of the socio-economic, urban, political and scientific aspects alike, which is something We do not see him in his review of the cities of the Kurdish country overlapping with the country of rum and the Levant, he passed through them quickly without mentioning their main landmarks and aspects and some of their news, during which he made some mistakes that he quoted from other geographers and sources, however, despite

the lack of brevity of the material in this regard, we find in some texts and narratives the authors of Morocco and Andalusia pay attention to the events of their country without paying attention to the Levant and its countries, something that Al-Humairi tried to get out of in We note that his writings in this regard, for example, about the country of the Kurds, do not match the importance of the book and neglect some countries located far from the Maghreb.
