Abstract

  The current research aims to identify (the effectiveness of a proposed strategy according to the theory of intentional learning in developing probing thinking among students in basic education colleges). The researchers followed the experimental method, as it is closest to achieving the goals of their research, and the research sample consisted of (61) male and female students from Department of Arabic Language / College of Basic Education / Sumer University, divided into an experimental group and a control group. The researchers prepared a pre-post test for probing thinking consisting of (30) objective items. After ensuring the validity and reliability of the test, the researchers applied it to the research sample and after correcting the test. The results of the study showed the superiority of the experimental group over the control group, and the researchers presented a set of suggestions and recommendations
