The impact of the Noble Qur'an in promoting the concept of hijab in Islamic society

Abstract

The Holy Qur'an, revealed by Allah, is an Islamic law that aims to achieve the interests of the people and ward off corruption in this world and the hereafter. This is why Allah imposed the hijab as a cover for the 'awrah, to protect against fitna, and to protect women from the harm of immoral people who harass women. It also shows that the hijab contributes to cleansing society of the manifestations of indecency, and purifying the social environment from the motives of lust and the factors of temptation, so that women's intellectual and physical powers are directed to what is beneficial to man and society. Therefore, Islamic law has paid great attention to the issue of the legal veil, as it plays a leading role in securing security and spiritual and physical safety in Islamic society, in addition to maintaining family behavior, and preventing the spread of the scourge of corruption and deviation in the classes of society, and this is what the Holy Qur'an said: ﴿And tell the believers to turn a blind eye and keep their chickens and do not show their adornment except what appeared from them and to beat with their wine on Their pockets and do not show their adornment except for their children or their fathers or the fathers of their dependents or their sons or the sons of their dependents or their brothers or the sons of their brothers or the sons of their sisters or their women or what their faith possesses ﴾ (Al-Nur: 31), and we note from the Qur'anic text above the level of preservation of women, chastity and purity from external pollutants in addition to directing the discourse on the believers and not others, and this is what draws attention to the importance of the believing woman from Because women need the instructions of Islam, which includes divine provisions, including the command to disregard the eyes and save the chicken, and not to show adornment except in front of mahrams, and this is what distinguishes them from women of ignorance, this research aims to show the impact of the Holy Quran in promoting the concept of hijab in society, as well as analyzing the impact of the Holy Quran in shaping hijab behavior and promoting Islamic values related to the hijab, so This research aims to study the role of the Holy Qur'an in promoting the concept of hijab within the Islamic society, by analyzing the Qur'anic verses that dealt with the hijab, and its impact on moral and social values. The research also reviews the repercussions of the veil on the identity of Muslim women and its role in forming a societal culture based on chastity and respect, many scientific researches dealt with the impact of the Holy Qur'an in promoting the concept of hijab in Islamic society, through the study of Qur'anic verses that legalized the hijab, and analyze its role in consolidating moral and social values. This research sheds light on the hijab as a religious obligation and manifestation of Islamic identity, in addition to its impact on controlling social relations and promoting chastity and modesty.
