Abstract

The Palestinian issue was directly related to the international and regional events, as it constituted a fundamental point for the international parties in the search for a solution to it and at various stages. From this standpoint, the title of the research came to study the two most important conversations in the years 1990-1991, which are the Gulf crisis and the collapse of the Soviet Union, which contributed to Directly and indirectly in finding a solution to it and entering into direct negotiations by the PLO and the rest of the Arab parties with Israel. The Gulf crisis has contributed to weakening Arab support for the Palestinian cause and strengthening American support for Israel. The second event is the collapse of the Soviet Union, which has no less impact than the Gulf crisis. Which allowed the United States to unilaterally take decisions and exert pressure on the Arab countries in order to accept the American-Israeli vision to find a solution to the Palestinian issue
