Abstract

    After coordination with the jurists and preservers in the city of Tlemcen, he was distinguished by his vast knowledge and his memorization of the Noble Prophetic Hadith, as he was a contemporary of the kings of Abd al-Wad and one of their close associates, so he tried to provide work for the kings to be evidence of loyalty and closeness to them, so he wrote the book History of the Banu Zyan, Kings of Tlemcen, an excerpt from the system of Al-Durr and Al-Aqyan in explaining the honor of the Banu (Zyan), in which he explained the general conditions that prevailed in the city of Tlemcen, starting from the political conditions and how the kings of the Zayyanid state ruled and the economy, reaching social life, in order to shed light on the political, social, economic and scientific aspects and to show the aspects of prosperity in those aspects. In addition, he devoted a chapter of his book, which he called the Noble Lineage, in which he addressed the lineage of the kings of Banu Abd al-Wad, in addition to reviewing a number of rulings and sermons in it
