The Syndicate of Noble Families in Iraq (Samarra as a model)
Abstract
It is the guild of nobles that was first established in Iraq in the year 251 AH. Its headquarters were in Kufa, and its leadership and head was Abu Abdullah al-Hussein al-Nasabah bin Ahmad al-Muhaddith bin Muhammad, known as Abu Ali Omar bin Yahya al-Rawiyah bin al-Hussein Dhu al-Damaa bin Zaid al-Martyr. At the beginning of his assumption of the leadership of the Ashraf Syndicate, Al-Hussein laid down the foundations and rules that would protect and preserve the lineage. He also set the conditions under which members of the Syndicate would be accepted for membership and confirmation from the sons and grandchildren who trace their lineage back to the Imams Al-Hasan and Al-Hussein, documenting their lineages and keeping them in a special registry.
