Abstract
The Iranians are among the ancient nations that have preserved their connection with their cultural history, maintaining intellectual and ideological ties with their ancestors. Myth and mythology are considered significant indicators for understanding the cultures and modes of thinking of various peoples, playing a key role in reviving national and historical identity. Myths reflect the enduring history and ancient events of every nation, conveyed through diverse symbols and narratives.
This study aims to extract and analyze cosmic and mythological symbols, focusing on key variables such as night, sun, fire, and future generations, within the framework of the story "The Fourth Potato Emperor" by Mohammad Mahdi Mohammadi. The research seeks to reveal how these active symbols are represented within the narrative structure of the text under study.
