Abstract

The This research monitors representative models of historical narratives with a political character in some Iraqi novels. It focuses on the fact that these narratives have been told from the perspective of marginalized classes in society.

The research adopts cultural studies as an approach and foundation for analyzing and understanding the texts. Cultural studies views the rewriting of history in a novelistic form as a critical and counter-hegemonic act against centers and authorities, and as support for the positions of the oppressed and marginalized in society.

The research examined four novels: "Paths of Loss," "Nour Khidr Khan," "The Sixth Red," and "The Curse of the Americans." It extracted from them only the

places where political historical narratives were present, considering their impact on the fictional worlds.
