Self-Worth and its Relationship to Psychological Happiness Among Educational Counselors
Abstract
The current study aimed to reveal the nature of the relationship between self-worth and psychological happiness among educational counselors in Dhi Qar Governorate/Al-Rifai Education Department. The descriptive approach was used in its correlational form، and the study sample was selected randomly from the Dhi Qar counselors community، where the number of sample members reached (256). As a male and female mentor، Crocker’s self-worth scale (Crocker (2004) and Rosemary’s scale (2006) and Samia Jamal’s interpretation of psychological happiness were applied. The results showed a high degree of self-worth among educational counselors in Dhi Qar Governorate، and a high degree of psychological happiness among the counselors. There is a correlation between self-worth and psychological happiness، and in light of the results، a set of recommendations and proposals were presented.
