The aim of the research is to know the effect of the homework listening strategy on achievement, mindfulness and physical exploration among fourth grade science students through the following hypotheses:
1- There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied using the homework listening strategy and the control group who studied in the usual way in the achievement test.
2- There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied using the homework listening strategy and the control group who studied in the usual way in the mindfulness scale.
3- There is no statistically significant difference at the significance level (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied using the homework listening strategy and the control group who studied in the usual way in the physical exploration scale.
The current research was limited to fourth-grade science students in day schools affiliated with the General Directorate of Education in Dhi Qar for the academic year 2023/2024. The experiment was applied in the second semester. The research sample consisted of (195) students distributed over (5) classes, randomly divided into two groups: Class (C) the experimental group, with (43) students, and Class (B) the control group, with (42) students. The two groups were rewarded with chronological age in months, intelligence, physics score for the third intermediate class, and a previous information test. The researcher prepared the requirements for the experiment, which included identifying the scientific material, formulating behavioral objectives, and preparing teaching plans. The experimental group studied using the homework listening strategy, and the control group studied in the usual way for a full semester, after which the achievement test, the mindfulness scale, and the physical survey scale were applied to both groups. To obtain the research results, the data were processed statistically using the t-test. Through the results, it was noted that the experimental group outperformed the control group. In light of the research results, the researcher developed a set of recommendations and proposals related to the research results.
