The  Effect  of the Semantic Mapping  Strategy on Developing Critical Thinking Skills among University Students

Abstract

    This research aims to investigate the effect of the semantic mapping strategy on the development of critical thinking skills among university students. The researcher selected the University of Kufa / College of Education / Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education as the field for the current study.
The research sample consisted of 53 first-year students, with 27 students assigned to the experimental group, who were taught educational psychology using the semantic mapping strategy, and 26 students assigned to the control group, who were taught the same subject using the traditional method. After scoring the responses and statistically analyzing the data, the results revealed the effectiveness of the semantic mapping strategy in developing critical thinking skills among first-year students in the subject of educational psychology.
