Abstract

    The current study aimed to identify the degree of moral thinking among university students, and to know the significance of statistical differences in moral thinking among university students according to the variables of gender (males - females) and specialization (scientific, humanities). The research population for the current study was determined by students of preliminary morning studies at Al-Mustansiriya University. For the academic year (2023/2024), the size of the population reached (30,314) male and female students, and the research tools were applied to a random stratified sample of (400) male and female students. The researcher prepared a tool to measure moral thinking, and the researcher used the statistical program (SPSS) to analyze the research results. Currently, the results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in the level of moral thinking among university students. The results of the study also showed that there were significant differences in the degrees of moral thinking in the gender variable, in favor of females. There are no statistically significant differences in moral thinking scores in the specialization variable.
