Physical punishments and educational dimensions in the Holy Quran

Abstract

    Punishment in Islam is a purposeful educational method, not just revenge or random punishment. Islamic law, as stated in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet, has established a comprehensive punitive system whose goal is to reform the individual and society, and achieve justice and fairness. In this research, we will address the educational dimensions of punishment in the Holy Quran and how it achieves its lofty goals.
