The extent to which the fifth grade biology book includes deep understanding skills

Abstract

    The current research purpose is to know the extent to which the book of biology for the fifth grade of intermediate school for the areas of deep understanding, and the research community defines the book of biology for the fifth preparatory grade, the eleventh edition (2024-2025), and the descriptive research methodology was approved in this study, and the researchers prepared the preparation of the research tool for deep understanding areas and its sincerity and stability were verified and the 

tool consisted of four main dimensions: Thinking , decision -making, nature of interpretations, issuing questions) The results showed that the areas of deep understanding achieved (857) repeatedly in the content of the Biology book for the fifth year of middle school, distributed in four fields that include (20) paragraphs, as the field of (generating ideas) ranked first among the remaining areas as it got (265) repeated and at a rate of (30.9%), and the field of decision (decision -making) ranked second  Between the areas of the scale that was subject to the analysis, as it obtained (207) repeated by (24%), the field of (the nature of interpretations) settled in the third place with its achievement (195) repeated by (22.7%).  Including the areas of deep understanding in the neighborhood books for the fifth grade and alerting specialists in the numbers of the curricula in these areas, and that the curricula need comprehensive and continuous integrated development, this and the researchers suggested the necessity of making educational seminars for teachers to enable them to do deep understanding, which helps students to understand those areas that develop the love of research and exploration of modern knowledge, understanding complex educational issues, and overcoming the positions that  It is accompanied by ambiguity and thumbs that accompany some educational situations.
